Of course you ve thought about removing those scratches before but you re simply too busy most of the time and fixing the sofa is one of the last things on your mind.
Cover scratches on leather furniture.
Rub a cotton swab with the oil to an inconspicuous area of the leather upholstery.
Let dry and lightly sand smooth.
Just the idea can be tiring.
I cut off and sanded the rough tags then applied caulk smoothing it with a wet hand until smooth.
First apply the shoe polish to the scratches with a clean cloth or a cotton swab applicator.
All you need to cover up hideous scratches in your leather is a bit of extra virgin olive oil.
Luckily it turns out it s not really that difficult or time.
I used a soft cloth to rub the olive oil into the leather in circles.
Starting from the center of the damaged area buff the leather in circular motions working.
Find a shade of shoe polish that matches your furniture.

Apply semi gloss or egg shell latex paint.
Then rub the shoe polish into the leather and with a clean cloth rub the scratch quickly to buff it.
I think the key is really rubbing it in.
Leather oil shoe polish baseball glove conditioner baby oil saddle oil and lanolin oil can also be used.
Light barely there scratches buff away easily with a soft cloth dabbed in leather oil or conditioner.
Apply shoe polish to the scratched area.
Notice how the scratches soak up the oil and appear darker than the rest of the leather.
They too will lighten as it dries.
Believe it our not i used regular wall paint and paintable caulk to fix my leather sofas.
