It is really really thin the thickness of about 2 sheets of aluminum foil folded together. I just ordered this foil because i read that it was the only metal that the cricut can cut and not just engrave. This is the only mat that i would use to cut metal as you do not want it to be very sticky. This is the exact foil that i got it is 0 003 copper 40 gauge.

Yes the cricut maker did all of this. I actually did a project that both cut and scored the metal for an embossed look.
